What to do in Marin - September 2017What To Do in September in Marin!

Though Marin County is beautiful all year round, many would argue that September cannot be beat! To celebrate fall, Marin County plays host to a number of amazing events - a few of our favorites are below!

Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival (http://www.mvfaf.org): The Mill Valley 61st Annual Fall Arts Festival is on September 16th and 17th. This event is a great opportunity to join together with the community to support established artists as well as upcoming student artists. The festival features jewelry, ceramics, photography, painting, and more! In addition to the art, there will be several musical performances throughout the day, and even craft time for the kids. Come out to Old Mill Park for a great time filled with culture and community!

Sausalito Art Festival (http://sausalitoartfestival.org/#intro): The 65th Annual Sausalito Art Festival will be held September 2nd through 4th. This waterfront festival is one of the most prestigious art shows in the country with more than 270 award-winning artists from around the country showcasing their work. Each day includes a full line- up of musicians you would likely see at major concert venues – everything from classical to pop genres. General admission is $30 per day, and kids under 12 get in for free!

Blackie’s Hay Day (https://www.beltiblibfoundation.org/foundation/events/blackies-hay-day). Blackie’s Hay Day takes place on September 23rd this year. This annual event benefits the children and teen programs of the Belvedere-Tiburon Library. The activities begin at 10am for the general public, and there is something for everyone in the family! Kids can enjoy an extreme air bungee, donkey rides, and crafts while parents can explore different food trucks and stop by the beer and wine tent. There is also live music, an animal show, and a bake-off! Tickets are $15, with the opportunity to add on for different activities!
