Unemployment Drops in All Nine Bay Area Counties as Summer Ends

The Bay Area economy was riding high as summer came to a close, with August unemployment rates down from the previous month in all nine of our local counties. Marin, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Napa counties have the lowest jobless claims in the state – all coming in at less than 5 percent.
