Best Places To Get Marin County’s Famous Oysters This Summer!

Tony's Seafood Restaurant, Tomales Bay, CaliforniaJust in time for summer, Marin’s beloved Hog Island Oyster Co. has acquired the historic Tony’s Seafood Restaurant, a third generation charmer on Tomales Bay. While regulars will be happy that the new owners will continue to stay true to the spirit of Tony’s, Hog Island diehards will be thrilled to have another place to enjoy their world famous oysters, as a reservation at the farm in Marshall is one of the hardest to nab in the Bay Area (any time of year)!

Feeling more adventurous? Make a day of it and visit a few of Marin’s most celebrated oyster spots:

Osteria Stellina: Start at this civilized Point Reyes Station restaurant known for their Marin Miyagis and delicious house cocktail sauce!

Saltwater Oyster Depot: You can go traditional here or try the unique smoke-poached preparation at this airy Inverness restaurant cum oyster depot!

The Marshall Store: Informal, and all about their seafood, this is the perfect place to slurp bivalves on the side of Highway 1!

Rocker Oysterfeller's Kitchen + Saloon: Though technically in Sonoma, the Oyster’s Rockefeller here are worth crossing the county line!
